About Me
I am Pramesh Koirala, a data analyst working in banking. I have a master’s degree in economics, and I write about ideas that help people make better decisions.
This website is my place to think in public: data analysis, artificial intelligence, economics, and other topics that feel meaningful rather than fashionable.
What I do
In my day job I work with data inside a bank. That means collecting information, checking it, analyzing it, and turning it into something a person can actually use. The details of that work stay at work. Nothing on this site is confidential bank information, and nothing here is an official view of my employer.
Economics trained me to ask why numbers move, who is affected, and what a result might mean beyond a chart. Data analysis is how I test those questions. AI is a set of tools I want to understand clearly before I trust them.
What I write about
- Data analysis — practical notes on analysis, visualization, SQL, Excel, Power BI, Python, and statistics.
- Artificial intelligence — explainers on concepts, tools, and real-world use, written for people who want understanding more than hype.
- Economics — concepts, indicators, markets, policy, and applied economic thinking.
I am also interested in work, learning, and other subjects that seem worth the time. If an idea does not help someone see the world a little more clearly, I would rather not publish it.
How I write
I aim for plain language, original examples, and honest limits. Articles on this site are for learning. They are not financial, investment, legal, or professional advice. If you want the formal version of that, see the Disclaimer.
