If you live abroad and support family in Nepal, the headline exchange rate is only half the story. Always compare total cost: rate + fee + speed.

  1. Check today’s NRB USD/NPR (or your corridor).
  2. Ask your app or bank for the all-in NPR your recipient will get.
  3. Note weekends/holidays — NRB may not publish a fresh table every calendar day.
  4. For large amounts, a 1% spread is real money; shop around.
