Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) publishes daily foreign exchange reference rates in Nepalese rupees (NPR). These rates tell you how many rupees equal a stated amount of foreign currency (for example 1 US dollar, or 100 Indian rupees).
They are a benchmark, not a promise from your bank or remittance app. Commercial providers add a spread and fees. Still, NRB is the number journalists, analysts, and careful consumers check first.
On this site, live tables live on the forex desk, and you can convert amounts with the NPR converter.
Why global readers care
If you send money to Nepal, price a trip, or follow South Asian markets, NPR moves affect real budgets. A clearer NRB page in English helps diaspora and travelers who do not read Nepali financial notices every morning.
